Hello flight enthusiasts,
We have some very big news for Fly The World!
FTW will be leaving the alpha stage of development on July 21st, 2022.
Fly The World patch 0.5.0 - "the economy restart"
We have worked for a long time determining when this transition will take place and also how it will take
place. With this major transition comes the need to reboot the economy of Fly The World. There are
some very valid reasons we opted to go this route, and we feel that our plans for the economic restart
will be attractive to you and your airlines.
We announce this in advance, to give you time for planing and organising your next steps after the economy restart.
Please know, this will not punish your experience and tenure in Fly The World. Your hours, licenses, type
ratings will be left intact. This is an economic restart, which means while we are removing the assets and
cash within the player base. However, we will have an offering to ensure you can pick up FTW the day
after he restart, and not feel like you are a brand new player.
Reasons for our decision, for the economy restart:
•FTW has been going on for over 5 years now, without a restart of the economy.
• In this time there have been many very drastic changes to the system and the way you can earn
and how much money you can earn
• A lot of bugs have been fixed that affected the income (A big “thank you” to the community
members that report bugs instead of exploiting them!)
• New FBO system requires complete dismantling of the current airline networks, routes and FBO objects
Because of these reasons above, the economy is tipped towards those older players
and new players will not be afforded those same abilities.
Such an imbalance is in itself a very good reason for a reboot. The user community seemed to want
an economic reboot much earlier, at least there were very frequent requests to us, sometimes with a
more hardline approach than what we have come up with. Also the database structure and the way
the parts of FTW communicate with each other has not been modernized in the last years, this goes
so far that we cannot simply do modernizations with the current database. Again, resetting the
millions of entries helps immensely in future-proofing FTW
How does the economic reboot work:
• Every active player who has received and used an FTW account by the time of the economic
restart will receive a starting stimulus of 500,000 €FTW
• Account creation is paused from now until the economic restart, new accounts within this time
period and after will receive the normal starting cash and status
• Every pilot keeps his flight hours, licenses, type ratings and statistics.
• We will be awarding pilots restart points based on their flights and hours in FTW. These points
can be used to purchase aircraft up front so the pilots of airlines can begin flying immediately.
What else does the economic reboot bring:
• New FBO pricing system without surcharges.
• Routes: Terminal capacity must now match the capacity of the selected aircraft seating
configuration to create a route (cargo or passengers)
• Agent conversion for airlines is back
• PPL, CPL and now MPL aircraft from the FTW-Aircraft-Stock are also available for rent
• New login page – fresh look and preparation for further user interface improvements
• New download for YAACARS (YASA now in the same package, an executable file for MSFS users
that starts everything)
• Many bug fixes that have been identified and fixed
Some of our Post Reboot Roadmap:
• Cooperation functions between airlines (terminal sharing, …).
• Better coordination of airline flights with stopovers
• Fuel transfer between own fuel stations
• Processing of fees for take-off and landing
• API
• FTW-Leasing and financing
• And much more…
How does the pre-order of the planes work:
• Each user will receive, based on the flights made by the record deadline, a points currency (UC)
that he can viewed via the document, that we post when the deadline ended.

• These points can be exchanged through the pre-order form (link to the form) to own these
aircraft immediately after the economic restart.
• Values of the points:
PPL = 1 UC
CPL = 3 UC
MPL = 8 UC
ATPL = 21 UC
• These can be combined with other users, but we ask that this is clearly stated in the form.
• We try to process all these pre-orders until the economic restart, we ask for consideration if we
are not just in time with it.
• First to order, first to get your machines.
• FTW-Beta-Version for viewing at least 90 days online

We understand that while a restart is a major move, the measures above will make it very fair and also
level the economy once again. This will allow the team to monitor the economy and see what is working
for the whole FTW player base.
